Digital Detox Policy

Disconnect to Reconnect
One of the defining experiences of Autumnal Reset is our intentional digital detox.
For one weekend, we invite you to step away from the constant stream of emails, social media, news, and notifications so you can fully reconnect with yourself, nature, and the people around you.
Many of us spend every day responding to the needs of others. This retreat offers a rare opportunity to simply be present.
What We Ask
To help create a calm, restorative environment for everyone, participants agree to:
-
Turn off or silence phones during the retreat.
-
Refrain from checking email, social media, or work messages.
-
Avoid using laptops, tablets, or smartwatches except when necessary for health or accessibility.
-
Be fully present during meals, workshops, yoga, and group activities.
We encourage participants to leave devices in their rooms whenever possible.
Staying Connected to Home
We understand that completely disconnecting isn't realistic for everyone.
You're welcome to keep your phone available for genuine emergencies involving family or loved ones. If an urgent situation arises, you may step away privately to respond.
If family members need to reach you during the retreat, we'll provide an emergency contact number before the weekend begins.
Why We Do This
Research consistently shows that taking intentional breaks from digital technology can:
-
Reduce stress and mental fatigue
-
Improve attention and concentration
-
Support nervous system regulation
-
Increase mindfulness and presence
-
Improve sleep quality
-
Foster deeper conversations and connection
Our hope is that you'll discover how restorative it feels to spend a weekend without constantly being pulled in multiple directions.
A Spirit of Curiosity, Not Perfection
This isn't about rigid rules or "doing the detox perfectly."
Instead, we invite you to approach the weekend with curiosity.
Notice what changes when you aren't reaching for your phone.
Notice what becomes possible when your attention isn't divided.
Sometimes the greatest gift we can give ourselves is simply the opportunity to be fully present.
Save Your Spot
